Michela
Diamanti, the protagonist of "Silence
That Kills," leads a group of concerned
youngsters posing as "investigators."
This group succeeds in breaking through the
wall of silence and disinformation surrounding
advances in genetic research and therapy.
Through the investigation of medical
institutions and their professionals, and the
careful examination of information available
to the public, the actors seek to guide the
audience towards the discovery of the truth;
namely, that cures for many "incurable"
diseases exist, and that their dissemination
will bring untold benefit to humanity as a
whole.
If the
audience follows in their footsteps, and stops
taking that which is presented to them as the
whole truth, this wall of silence can be
eliminated, and interested parties will no
longer be able to hide these discoveries in
obscurity. It is only through their actions
that this information can be propagated, and
lives saved.
